Who Am I?
Hello! My name is Charlie Thiry. I am a medical doctor and the course founder of FCP(SA) Part 1: The complete guide. I wrote my FCP(SA) Part 1 exam during the second semester of my busy community service year while working at Philadelphia hospital in rural Limpopo. I scored 83% on the exam and was awarded with The Certificate of Merit from the CMSA for recognition as one of the top performers on the exam.
My Story
I am a 27 year old Belgian medical doctor who studied and trained in South Africa with four years of clinical experience. I completed my community service year at a district hospital in rural Limpopo before relocating to Ireland in 2024. I currently work as an Emergency Department Registrar in Cork. My primary interest lies in internal medicine, with a particular passion for cardiology and electrophysiology. I have successfully completed the FCP(SA) primaries, as well as the MRCPI Part I and II. I am starting Basic Specialty Training (BST) in general internal medicine in July 2025.
